The Suppression Division is responsible for providing 24-hour fire, rescue and emergency medical services to the citizens and visitors of St. Tammany Fire Protection District No.1. The Suppression Division is comprised of 3 platoons working a 24 hour on/48 hour off shift schedule. Each Platoon is lead by a Deputy Chief and two District Chiefs who supervise the Captains, Operators and Firefighters on their platoon. There are seven fire stations from which a minimum of 28 Suppression personnel respond.
