St. Tammany Fire Protection District #1

Every year Alton Elementary School selects students to be involved in their Mentor Program. One of this years selection is Monique Williams, a 5th grader at the school. Pam Nash, a secretary for Fire District #1 has participated in this program since 1992. This year we scheduled an on site visit to some of our stations, including our Communications Center.

Monique had an interest in firefighting due to her mother being both a volunteer forestry firefighter in California and a Navy shipboard firefighter.
